Zoltek will house parent company Toray’s new PPS resin compounding operation on its site in Nyergesújfalu, Hungary.

Toray has chosen the Zoltek facility as the space for its new resin compound production plant due to its central location within Europe. While this Toray production facility will operate alongside Zoltek and will utilise already established infrastructure, it will operate as a division of Toray.

“We are pleased to support the Toray resin business in Europe and we look forward to the positive effect this will have on the automotive industry,” states Zoltek President and CEO Yoshihiro Takeuchi.

Zoltek will continue to produce carbon and oxidised fibre products, as normal, at the Hungarian facility. Currently, the plant produces the Zoltek PX35 and Zoltek OX fibre lines in a variety of product forms including continuous tow, fabrics and pultruded products.
