US company Web Industries has opened its first European sales office in Hamburg, Germany.

The producer of advanced composite formatting services for the aerospace, automotive, wind energy, oil and gas and industrial markets officially commenced office operations during a March opening ceremony attended by Web Industries executives and engineers.

The office will serve as a hub for making Web Industries’ full range of aerospace-focused composite formatting services available to the European market.

“The Hamburg-based sales office reflects Web Industries Aerospace division’s commitment to better serving its European customers with services that will streamline their manufacturing operations and help lower production costs,” says Web Industries Vice President of Corporate Development, Kevin Young. “Our primary focus is supporting aerospace market applications while we gather market intelligence on other key market segments.”

“The value of our services will also be apparent in the faster response times customers and research partners enjoy by ordering in the same time zone and by having a European-based contact person,” adds Patrick Markert, Head of Business Development Europe, and the Hamburg office’s manager.

The Aerospace division’s commercial-scale formatting and material management services include: precision prepreg slit tape spools optimised for automated fibre placement and automated tape laying machines; delivery of ply-formatted and kitted advanced composite materials; thermoplastic formatting for compression moulding and tape placement; complete lot traceability and custom reporting; commercial-scale volumes with full quality assurances; comprehensive material management solutions; and AS/EN9100C certification and rigorous FOD control.
