Zyvax has added release agent Departure, in a pre-saturated application wipe, to its range of products.

Departure release agent has been formulated to meet the requirements of the advanced composites industry, has numerous aerospace specifications and according to Zyvax is the only release to receive California’s AQMD certification. They say that departure is solvent-free, without odour and provides a releasing surface that doesn’t transfer and requires only room temperature cure.

A specialized container holds 100 pre-saturated wipes that provide coverage for over 667 sq. ft. (62 m2). The idea of using pre-saturated wipes is to eliminate over-application thus increasing the economic benefits of the system.

The Waterworks Aerospace Release System consists of Fresh Start (cleaner) Preflight (conditioner to eliminate micro-porosity) Departure (release agent) and Pregmagic (tack promoter that holds pre-pregs in place without interfering with releasing surface of tool) All Waterworks products are non-hazardous and solvent-free.
