Victrex Polymer Solutions will showcase its latest product and technology innovations at this year’s JEC Composites Show in Paris, France – Pavilion 1 Booth J16.
According to Victrex, their booth will be of particular interest to aircraft manufacturers who are driven by the need to design the most lightweight and environmentally fuel-efficient aircraft possible and reduce overall manufacturing costs.
Victrex say they will have APTIV films on their booth that are readily available and increasingly being used to replace PVF film to reduce weight and improve performance in numerous applications. They will also be demonstrating their Victrex Pipes, based on Victrex PEEK polymer which they say offer a broad range of properties including chemical, corrosion, abrasion and permeation resistance at high temperatures, in a flexible format. They explain that this offers significant weight savings of up to 68% when compared to stainless steel for the aerospace industry. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Victrex PEEK 650Gwhich they say can be processed using standard processing methods including extrusion, compression, and injection moulding where minimal residual stress is desired for applications requiring a ductile failure mode.
