Vermont Composites has been presented with a Raytheon Company supplier excellence award, which went to 39 companies for their exceptional performance in supporting the Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business during 2011.

According to Vermont Composites, the winning suppliers represent less than one percent of SAS’ supply base. They say suppliers were chosen for meeting demanding standards in the areas of quality and delivery performance, customer satisfaction and total business and financial health. Evaluations of their performance by the Raytheon buyers and material program managers who deal with them every day were also part of the selection process. Awards were presented at the 3 and 4 Star level. Vermont Composites was one of only 35 Companies receiving a 3 Star Award.

“On behalf of our dedicated 231 member team here at Vermont Composites, we are honoured to receive this very prestigious award from Raytheon,” said Patrick Wheeler, President and CEO. He received the award along with Vice President for Engineering Mark Schmitz, who added, “Vermont Composites is very committed to providing the highest standard of engineering and manufacturing excellence to our customers.”
