A full month of closed moulding training programs at Skagit Valley Community College, Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, WA is planned for the period between Mid-May and Mid-June 2005.

Composites One, in cooperation with GRPguru in infusion, Andre Cocquyt, is organizing a whole month of instruction about the latest closed mould technology: Vacuum Infusion, RTM Light, and reusable vacuum bag technology. This series of courses is specifically put on in the North West for the regional boat building and fibreglass composites industry.

Companies that are interested in learning about vacuum infusion or RTM Light, or want to update their existing skills in these technologies can choose from different programs at Skagit Valley Community College, which is equipped with a new vacuum infusion lab with twelve work stations.

This is an opportunity to get the latest updates in closed moulding technology, materials and equipment from the top experts. Three different courses will be taught by infusion Guru Andre Cocquyt and RTM Light expert Doug Smith.

For the week of June 6, there is a whole new advanced VIP Technician Program – a 5-day seminar designed for closed moulding users who want to upgrade and update their know-how and expertise with the latest in technology developments, materials and get access to another fifty new “”tricks.”” This will include fast infusion of large flat stock panels with one and two sided finish; building reusable bags; building a heated mould table; infuse a closed mould tool with the newest tooling infusion resin, and some new flow layout patterns that greatly reduce the need for consumables.
