UTC Aerospace Systems’ advanced composites manufacturer, CTG, has achieved the quality management standard for the aerospace industry, AS9100 (Rev C).

The standard is designed to meet the demands of the defence and commercial aerospace industry. This certification is the result of CTG passing both strict audit requirements as well as rigorous evaluations of its manufacturing and design engineering processes to achieve a standard of quality required in the aerospace industry.

AS9100 Certification is a certification requiring companies to demonstrate capability to meet the demanding, complex and unique requirements of the defence and commercial aerospace industry. AS9100 Certification comprises more than 100 additional requirements over ISO 9001:2008 and is specific to the aerospace industry.

“We are delighted with this industry seal of quality approval. CTG is committed to constantly improving what it does. The AS9100 Certification is a strenuous assessment and evaluation process and it is testament to our continuous improvement culture that we have managed to raise the bar to achieve it in areas important to both future and existing customers including product safety and reliability, ” said General Manager, Dominic Cartwright.
