Following the acquisition of Amber Composites by TenCate, members of the management team are now refocusing their efforts on TRB Lightweight Structures.

TRB designs and engineers lightweight structures from composite components and sandwich panel technology. Example products are in use all over Britain and include thousands of train doors, paddle gates for the London Underground, floors for the London Eye, chassis for the Heathrow PODS, and much more.

“These materials can reduce fuel use in transportation and enable new sustainable energy technologies,” said Jonathan McQueen, CEO.

Andrew Dugmore will also join the TRB team as President. “Andrew and I worked very well together at Amber Composites and it’s great to have him join our growing team as we position TRB to tackle these global challenges,” McQueen continued.

TRB explains that Dugmore was most recently Sales Director at Amber Composites where it says he was instrumental in its transformation and eventual sale to TenCate. Dugmore says, “TRB Lightweight Structures pioneered high performance, ultralight sandwich panel technology. There is enormous potential to grow in new markets and expand core capabilities. I’m delighted to join and support the strong team at TRB.”
