In order to answer to the demanding new applications especially in future aerospace programs, Toho Tenax has further developed the performance of their intermediate fiber product range.

With the introduction of the new Tenax-E IMS65 24K Toho Tenax has expanded the product range supplied from its European production base. The new Tenax-E IMS65 24K is now commercially produced on one of the newest production lines in Germany. For aerospace applications, this product is qualifiable from mid 2009.

Tenax-E UTS55 24K is a ultra high tenacity fibre – under development -with enhanced tensile properties targeted for high performance industrial applications, for example off-shore and pressure vessels, and also for aerospace use. It will be produced on the newest production line in Germany which is currently under construction and will be finalized as scheduled in August 2009.

Toho Tenax has also released a newly developed short fibre type specifically designed as a general purpose fibre in high temperature resin systems. According to Toho Tenax, Tenax-A HT C723 6mm performs well in high temperature resin systems and has a thermal stability approaching 500 °C, making it applicable for high temperature thermoplastics from PPS up to PEEK.

Toho Tenax will be on the Teijin booth no. G58.
