Toho Tenax America has joined AltusGroup as an Innovation Partner to contribute their technical expertise and marketing strength toward the advancement carbon fibre grid reinforcement.
“The addition of Toho Tenax to the AltusGroup team helps keep us ahead of technical developments and supply trends in the quickly evolving carbon fibre market,” says Harry A. Gleich, P.E., FACI, FPCI, chairman of AltusGroup’s Technical Committee and Vice President of Engineering for Metromont, a founding AltusGroup precaster. “As the tensile strength and modulus properties of carbon fibre are essential to C-GRID performance in CarbonCast precast concrete, our members and customer will benefit from Toho Tenax’s expertise and technology.”

In 2008, the Toho Tenax group will commission the world’s largest carbon fibre line in Mishima, Japan with products aimed at the fast-growing industrial markets.”
