TIFAC develops new technology for FRP doors

The Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC, India) has uccessfully developed a new technology for manufacturing fibre re-inforced plastic (FRP) doors and frames for the building and construction sector. The technology has been developed by its Composite Design Centre under the advanced composite mission. The Centre has transferred the new technology to 15 industries for large- scale commercialization. The Centre has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Small Industries Corporation and the Building Materials & Technology Promotion Council to promote and market its glass-fibre composite technologies for the housing sector.
