The National Composites Network Issues Composite Support Reminder

The UK’s National Composite Network (NCN) has issued a reminder to UK composite manufacturers who require consultancy and support on composite materials.

The NCN which is jointly funded by the DTI and industry, and is managed by materials joining specialist TWI Ltd, provides industry information and a help desk. The organisation also offer one-to-one consultations with experts and organises direct practical assistance through the NCN’s technical support and consultancy services, which are also provided free of charge.

NCN technical support covers polymer, ceramic and metal matrix composites plus all related topics and technologies, including:
applications; design; materials development and selection
manufacturing; assembly; joining; disassembly/recycling
process modelling and economics; supply-chain issues
testing and analysis of materials and products; non-destructive examination; repair
standards; training; quality assurance; safety; and environmental issues

The NCN connects all areas of UK composites expertise across all technologies and industry sectors. This vast resource of know-how and nation-wide facilities underpins NCN services for UK companies involved in or moving into any aspect of composite product manufacture or use.
