TeXtreme was presented as the winner in the Fiberrik competition, a national competition for innovations in technical textiles in Sweden.

The jury announced that: “The product of the winning entry fulfils the criteria of the competition well. It is a highly innovative and all textile product within the field of technical textiles with great market potential, now and in the future. The product has already come a long way in its development and commercialisation. This technical textile can be used to produce lighter, firmer and stronger composites to a low cost. Through this new product, producers of airplanes, extreme cars, bikes, kayaks and hockey sticks are able to manufacture products with a new characteristic look and improved qualities, such as enhanced performance and low weight.”

“This is a great recognition and we are happy that the jury can see as great potential in our product as we do” said Andreas Josefsson, VP Business Development at Oxeon AB. The prize money, 200 000 SEK, will be used for further developments within the company which, according to Josefsson, is further developing the unique weaving technology as well as new products.
