Reinforced Telene has been developed by Rimtec, the parent company of Telene, and willl be on show at the JEC Exhibition.
The new grade is currently being used and qualified in various truck applications and in the construction market in Japan. “Reinforced Telene can be used for large-sized parts in a variety of applications, where higher modulus or a lower coefficient of thermal expansion is required. Reinforced Telene widens the performance range of Telene grades and will provide technical answers to the current demands of designers & engineers.”” according to Alexander Daemen, President of Telene.
Reinforced Telene has already found its first commercial application in Europe enabling an innovative new concept for the construction of swimming pools. In fact the engineers of Telene. combined two of Rimtec’s breakthrough developments for the design of this new generation modular swimming pool – the simultaneous use of the In-Mold-Coating process, an environment-friendly paint process, and the use of reinforced Telene. The panels of the swimming pool feature resistance to shocks, dimensional stability to temperature and anti-corrosion performance. This project, supported by ANVAR was developed in less than one year by Telene S.A.S and Terinjec with the support of the CRITT Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur.
This development of reinforced Telene has already led to the submission of 17 patent applications and sets up the first of a series of made-to-measure formulations making it possible to explore new possibilities.
Telene will be on stand L52 (Hall 1) at JEC Composites Show 2007
