Tecnatom Group, together with its French subsidiary M2M, will showcase its technological developments for the aerospace industry, especially in the field of inspection systems, non-destructive testing and control engineering, at JEC World 2017.

Tecnatom Group will demonstrate some of its automated inspection solutions, such as its new semi-automatic 3D portable arm, which bases the applicability of 3D commercial measuring arms on manual inspections by Ultrasonic (UT), Eddy Current, Visual (VI) or other non-destructive testing. It says this system provides the flexibility of manual inspection and allows recording of coordinates on pieces of complex geometry, without the need to use more sophisticated and more expensive robotic systems.

Tecnatom will also highlight its GEOID software in its product portfolio, which it says solves the problems of identification and control of the positioning of the parts for inspection, avoiding possible damages. The application allows checking, in an automated mode, if the installed part to be inspected is the correct one according to the inspection plan, If this is not the case, the application prevents the inspection until the piece is correctly positioned, thus avoiding delays, unwanted checks, and mistakes that can lead in some cases to damage or even destruction of the piece under inspection, or the inspection system itself.

Tecnatom will show its wide variety of systems and applications that seek to meet aerospace industry requirements: reducing time and costs in manufacturing processes, as well as automation and improving safety.
