Syrgis has received a license to operate a business in China under the name Shanghai Syrgis Trading Co., Ltd, to support and grow the presence of the company’s Performance Initiators business in China.

“”One of the key facets of Syrgis’ strategy is geographic growth,”” said Andy Harris, Syrgis CEO. “”China’s rapidly increasing domestic consumption represents an excellent opportunity for Syrgis, and establishing a corporate presence in China is a logical step in this process. We are very pleased to have Henry Tong join our team as General Manager. Henry combines an excellent background with a high level of initiative and energy, and fits very well into our philosophy and corporate team culture of ‘Good People with Good Chemistry.'””

Syrgis Performance Initiators is known for room temperature cure peroxides in Europe and North America.

Syrgis also recently presented A1 Fiberglass with the first “”Syrging Ahead””Award, in a ceremony at the American Composites Manufacturers Association’s (ACMA) Composites 2011 show in Ft. Lauderdale.

A-1 Fiberglass, working in conjunction with the Syrgis technical team, reduced the level of variation in ambient cure fibreglass manufacturing, which resulted in improved quality and expanded manufacturing flexibility while reducing overall cost.

“”We especially value the recommendations of the initiator selections given to us by Syrgis and take that knowledge directly to the manufacturing floor level to empower our workforce,”” said Eric Kadow, vice president of operations at A-1. “”Our operators and supervisors understand this concept and embrace it, allowing them to do their job the best that they can.””
