Farnborough Airshow welcomed more than 80,000 visitors during its aviation spectacular.

According to the event organisers, as well as the five hour flying spectacular and static aircraft line-up, highlights of the show included Farnborough Airshow Live, hosted by television celebrities Angellica Bell and Michael Underwood who entertained the crowds with a mix of on-stage interviews and pre-recorded programmes. Other new additions and features included dedicated retail outlets, automotive features, a traditional fairground, and interactive entertainment from the Labyrinth of Invention, taking visitors on a journey through the history of aviation.

Show organisers, Farnborough international, are delighted at how the event was so positively received and has seen its social media following increase by nearly 20,000 followers.

Speaking about the show, FIL Chief Executive, Shaun Ormrod said, “Overall, we are extremely pleased with how the weekend went. We experienced the odd problem early on Saturday and the weather forecast could have been a little more favourable, but ultimately we think we’ve put on a great show and the social media comments reflect that.”
