Aer Lingus has awarded Spatial Composite Solutions a contract to upgrade and overhaul its A320 cabin emergency evacuation trainer and A330 door trainer.
The upgrade work is designed to enhance the reliability of the devices through the installation of Spatial’s PLC-based operating system as well as an overhaul of the door mechanisms. Spatial will also install advanced features such as its next-generation cabin visuals system in the device. Spatial has further committed to provide full support for ten years to Aer Lingus.
“We have invested significantly in building a reputation with our customers for reliability,” says Marc Van den Broucque, Spatial Managing Director. “We are glad Aer Lingus has recognised this and look forward to serving them over the years to come.”
“We chose to complete this project with Spatial as a result of their robust operating system and innovative modern design, which will offer us enhanced reliability into the future,” states Noel Houlihan, Safety Training Officer at Aer Lingus. “We look forward to bringing added realism to our cabin crew training when this project is complete and we can’t wait to introduce our crew to the fantastic Spatial product offering.”
