Sigmatex UK Moves

gmatex has completed the next phase of its ongoing investment and expansion strategy by relocating its UK manufacturing headquarters.

Situated in Norton, Cheshire, UK, close to its previous site, this new purpose built facility boasts 93,000sq feet (approx 8,700 sq mtr) of office and manufacturing space which includes a dedicated Technical Development cell where innovative research into carbon fibre fabric architecture and technical textiles will take place.

Built with increased capacity and efficiencies in mind and to meet the growing demand for Sigmatex products, this new facility provides an optimised work flow environment and houses several independent weaving cells, and separate areas for the latest in Multiaxial and 3D carbon fibre fabric manufacturing equipment.

This new UK “Flagship” facility fronts the global activities of Sigmatex, being complimented by its USA, facility in Benicia, California,.

“This major investment demonstrates the commitment of Sigmatex to support the worlds composite markets with increased capacities and new technologies for the manufacture of carbon fibre fabrics, at the same time allowing the global business of Sigmatex to expand” said Scott Tolson, Managing Director.
