Sicomin will be formally announcing its American distributor at SAMPE 2013, launching its products through Core Composites.

Following Sicomin’s recruitment of distributors Core Composites, the company say its American-based customers will now be able to purchase its products directly from the Rhode Island, US company. It says this development follows increased sales in Europe and Asia and a strong demand from customers to provide a distribution service into North America.

Sicomin claims it has been formulating epoxy solutions for over 28 years. From the company’s newly extended 4,000sqm² facility in Marseille, France, a range of ‘off the shelf’ and custom made resins are developed and manufactured for a variety of processing techniques including: Infusion, RTM, Pultrusion, Hand Lay Up and on-site Prepreg.

According to Sicomin, products being showcased at the SAMPE conference include a market leading range of fire retardant systems specifically developed and accredited for Aerospace and Civil Engineering applications, and a selection of liquid expanding epoxy foams. These products are available in densities from 170kg to 600kg and in higher TG, fire retardant and other customisable versions.

Philippe Marcovich, President of Sicomin, comments: “Sicomin has established a highly effective global supply chain throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa and Australia.  With Core Composites of Rhode Island as a distributor, we are now well positioned to broaden this network and provide our American customers with an extensive range of high performance epoxy solutions”.
