Scott Bader will be increasing the sales prices of all its Crystic unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins, plus all gelcoats and its Crystic Crestomer structural adhesive range by 80 €/t on all deliveries from its European sites from May 15th 2006.

This is in addition to the recent news issued about the price rise on the isophthalic range of Crystic resin and gelcoat products of 80 €/t on all deliveries from its European sites from May 1st 2006.

“This price rise is due to the very sharp rise in the price of crude oil in recent weeks along with increasing prices of all key raw materials, driven by supply restrictions, particularly of maleic and phthalic anhydride. With spiralling cost of petrochemical products, further increases in the coming months cannot be ruled out ” commented Malcolm Forsyth, European Commercial Director, Composites business division of Scott Bader.
