Scott Bader, DSM and AOC will all be introducing price increase from the end of this month.

Scott Bader Composites, Europe will be increasing the prices across its European sites of all Crystic unsaturated polyester, DCPD and Vinyl Ester resins, plus all gelcoats, bonding pastes and Crystic Crestomer structural adhesive products s by 100 €/mt on all invoiced orders from July 1st 2008 onwards.

Because of the cost increases associated with steel purchases, AOC will make a four-cent per pound increase (USD) for all products packaged in drums and delivered to the United States and Canada (0.09 CND per kilogram). This increase is effective from June 30, 2008, and is in addition to the previously announced price increase in the amount of ten-cents per pound (USD), which is also effective from June 30, 2008.

DSM Composite Resins will be making a minimum price increase of 150 Euro per metric ton for all its products. This price increase is global and will come into effect by 1 July 2008.

“The urgent matter is that we need to be able to support the needs of our customers not just today but also in the future,” explains Boudewijn Morelissen, Business Director for Europe “We continue to work hard on productivity and efficiency in our operations to keep prices as low as possible. These new prices reflect the increase in the cost of petrochemical raw materials, transportation and energy. As we continue to fund investments in innovations, new products and new technology developments for our customers, these adjusted price levels will allow DSM to maintain its supply of high quality products and services and retain its position as a sustainable partner within the performance materials industry.”
