Key decision makers and key buyers. Not attending a SAMPE exhibition is a huge mistake.””
On Monday, May 19, SAMPE inducted five new SAMPE Fellows into the SAMPE Fellow Program. The 2008 honorees were:

Two noteworthy keynote presentations were given Tuesday, by prominent members of the materials and processes industry. Takashi Ishikawa, Aviation Program Director of JAXA presented “”Introduction of Japan’s Civil Aviation Research and Development Programs and the Role of Advanced Composites Research””, which focused on several research and development programs for civil aviation being conducted in Japan. His presentation was followed by “”The Changing Times in Globalization”” by Peter Huntsman, President and CEO of Huntsman Companies. Throughout the week, attendees had the opportunity to attend a dynamic conference, consisting of sessions, panels and tutorials, each designed with an aim to address the growing needs and changes taking place in the industry.
“”This year’s topics reflect the industry’s constant advances. Teaming up with the SAMPE Japan chapter has enabled us to address issues that are of a global concern, making this conference program truly international,”” Brent Strong, Conference General Co-Chair said.
