Chemical technology company, Resin Systems Inc. issued the results of a series of tests conducted by the Alberta Research Council on the Company’s proprietary, environmentally friendly resins for the composite materials market. The tests were conducted to provide a “comparison of the mechanical properties of reinforced composite resins”. The results show that RSI’s urethane based resin is superior to current polyester resins as well as premium epoxy resins. An important test being conducted at the beta sites concerns the ability of the facilities to produce products at a faster rate in comparison to products produced with polyester or epoxy resins. The RSI resin is priced mid-way between polyester and epoxy resins.
