Reichhold, Scott Bader, DSM and Dow Increase Resin Prices

Reichhold, Scott Bader, DSM and Dow are to make increases in the price of Resins.

Reichholds price increase of $.07 per pound is for all unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs) sold in the United States and Canada. It is effective for orders shipped on or after August 5, 2004. This increase is in addition to the adjustment which takes effect July 15.

Scott Bader are to make further price increases for unsaturated polyester resin products from 16 August 2004. Prices will be increased across Europe by €80 per tonne for all deliveries made from 16 August 2004 of any Crystic unsaturated polyester resin products. In the UK prices will be increased by 55 GBP per tonne. This is a further price increase on top of increases which were made earlier this year.

DSM Engineering Plastics have confirmed a 6% price adjustment for all grades of Stanyl high performance polyamide 46 resin.

From August 1st, 2004, the Dow Chemical Company are to increase the prices for North American epoxy resins. Dow’s liquid, solid epoxy and standard brominated resins will increase by $0.10/lb, and an increase of $0.08/lb for its solid solution epoxy resins will also be implemented. The increase for specialty resins varies by product.
