Registration Open for Composite Engineering 2011

Composites 2011, hosted as part of the Advanced Engineering UK group of events, has doubled in size since the inaugural 2010 event.

The show, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, on the 9th and 10th November 2011, is reporting a record take up of stands which they say make it the largest and most comprehensive showcase for composites design and manufacturing, and supply chain capability in the UK.

This year’s show is supported by Composites UK and expects more than 160 dedicated composites supply partners. The event organiser Ian Stone comments that “the outstanding uptake on stands at this year’s event demonstrates the industry’s appetite for a dedicated ‘national’ networking, business development, technology solutions & transfer environment that is geared to the UK’s diverse composites user industries; from high volume consumer products through to high performance advanced engineered products.”

Ian Stone explains that attendees at the show will benefit from access to some 300 exhibiting organisations throughout the Composites and the co-locating Aerospace, Energy and Plastic Electronics events at Advanced Engineering 2011.

The show includes a programme of free to attend industry strategic and technological presentations from key industry stakeholder and supplier groups. These include the Composites UK hosted ‘Composites in Industry’ sessions for energy & renewables, medical & healthcare, transportation, marine, construction, automotive and performance sport & leisure. NetComposites will be hosting daily, free to attend, technology micro-sessions in the hall which will include topics such as Composite Recycling and Biocomposites.

Registration is now live via the website and includes free access to the Composites Engineering Show exhibits hall plus co-locating events, parallel technology and strategic presentations plus use of the event’s bespoke B2B online networking portal, allowing all attending groups to communicate and arrange meetings prior to arrival at the event.
