Precision Laser Processing (PLP) is exhibiting at Advanced Engineering 2017. The company has just invested in a £500,000 5-axis water jet cutting machine.
The new machine is capable of handling components up to 6000 mm x 3000 mm x 730 mm high and can cut materials 250 mm thick. It easily cuts carbon fibre leaving no burr or sharp edges that is normally found by machining or hand grinding when panels require trimming.
PLP is BSI 9001 rev c approved and holds a number of aerospace and Nadcap approvals for water jet, laser cutting and laser welding. It is also able to offer full laser scanning and inspection of both 2D and 3D components with GOM laser system.
Precision Laser Processing will exhibit on Stand J117 at Advanced Engineering 2017 on 1-2 November in Birmingham, UK.
