Brazilian organic peroxides producer Polinox reports an increase of 8% in production volume in 2017.

“We were expecting a growth of at most 5%, especially since we had two very difficult years,” says Roberto Pontifex, Director. “The result was not so superior in comparison with the previous period, but already shows that the scenario is different.”

The company also saw a 4% increase in its release wax business.

“Almost all sales of our waxes take place via distributors,” notes Pontifex. “So, this increase means that the small composite manufacturer had more buying power.”

For the third consecutive year sales to South American countries accounted for 20% of Polinox’s revenues. Throughout 2017, Polinox intensified the search for opportunities in Peru and started exports to Ecuador.

Polinox currently operates an industrial complex in Itupeva, Brazil, with a monthly production capacity of 360 tons.
