Patent Issued on Composite Reinforced Aluminium Conductor

The United States Patent & Trademark Office has issued a U.S. Patent entitled “”Composite Reinforced Electrical Transmission Conductor”” to W. Brandt Goldsworthy with GIFT Technologies.

This is the 49th U.S. Patent granted to W. Brandt Goldsworthy, who is one of the greatest composites inventors of all time.

The newly patented CRAC technology offers high heat low sag (HHLS) transmission conductors that operate at twice the temperature and therefore delivers twice the power of old style conductors, without an increase in overall weight or sag. Typical HHLS products now cost utility companies between seven to ten times more than old style conductors whereas; the Goldsworthy CRAC conductors are being produced at only twice the cost. “”This significant savings is the biggest reason that the Goldsworthy CRAC conductor will gain a greater market share of the $80 Billion U.S. Grid retrofit,”” states Michael G. Golden, General Partner of GIFT Technologies, LP. Mr. Golden further suggests that, “”CRAC is the choice of the future for all utility companies worldwide.””

Although Mr. Goldsworthy passed away almost three years ago, his innovations live on. There are five additional Goldsworthy technologies that have been assigned to GIFT: 1. Zephyr Wind Generators, 2. Helical Pultrusion, 3. Composite Transmission Monopole (75ft), 4. High Speed Thermoplastic Roltrusion, and 5. Snap-Fit Freeway Sign Truss System. GIFT Technologies has set out to license or sell all six technologies worldwide.
