The Brazilian company Obvio! Automotoveiculos (Rio de Janeiro city) will start to produce the 828/2 car model in March within the facilities of MVC Componentes Plasticos.

The new model will be the smallest produced in Brazil, with 1.6 liter engines supplied by Volkswagen’s subsidiary and glass fiber body produced by MVC. The two-seater model might be sold for between R$16,000 and R$20,000. Until June, the first ten units will be tested and exhibited in the points of sale. The goal is to produce 50 vehicles per month over the first year. Obvio is also developing another car named O12, with technology from a major German engineering company. The first units might be assembled in 2005, and be sold for R$40,000.
