NP Aerospace Ltd., a United Kingdom subsidiary of Reinhold Industries, announced that it has been awarded a 1.8 million pounds Sterling ($2.6 million) contract to manufacture 15,540 composite helmets for the Greek Army.

NP Aerospace has been a supplier of combat helmets and body armor to the British Army for over twenty years. The contract is the first major purchase of composite helmets for the Greek Defense Forces. Deliveries are scheduled to be completed in 2002.

“”This is a significant breakthrough for our ballistic protective business as it is the first large contract we have won in the Mediterranean area”” said Roger Medwell, Managing Director of NP Aerospace. “”We are confident this will be a forerunner of many opportunities still to come””.
