The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and the European Pultrusion Technology Association (EPTA) have announced the second North American Pultrusion Conference, which will take place 8-10 April 2019 in Rosemont, Illinois.
The event brings together composite industry leaders, customers, OEMs and suppliers to discuss the latest opportunities for pultrusion worldwide.
Pultrusion is a continuous, closed moulding process used to manufacture products that are extremely strong and have excellent structural properties.
“Many of our members use pultrusion as an advantage over other traditional materials, because it has allowed them to create world-class, state-of the art products that can be applied to a wide range of markets, including construction, infrastructure, industrial, energy, aerospace and automotive,” says Tom Dobbins, ACMA President.
The conference will feature presentations from industry leaders around the globe with forecasts on trends, new pultrusion applications and technologies, and information about standards and quality. As part of the partnership, EPTA will provide European conference speakers from the 2018 World Pultrusion Conference in Vienna. Together, both organisations pull their expertise to give the North American composites industry a comprehensive event that includes an international view of pultrusion issues and trends.
“By highlighting how pultrusion is used within various industries and market segments, we hope to increase industry-wide understanding and knowledge of the benefits of pultrusion,” explains Dr Elmar Witten, EPTA Managing Director.
