A new production line is being installed at COMAT for the manufacture of DExWin reinforced thermoplastic pressure vessels, which are mainly to be applied as pressure vessels in commercial vehicles. Production and implementation of the pressure vessels will take place in 2004.

Comat is developing DExWin products for the automobile sector and intends to manufacture pressure vessels for air suspensions. Integrated fittings provide an associated effect by decreasing the installation cost not just by an easy mounting but also due to a very competitive price.

On 17 December, Hans-Artur Bauckhage, the minister for trade and industry of Rheinland-Pfalz, awarded Comat an innovation award for the continuous production of fibre reinforced thermoplastic DExWin tubes.
