Beijing Saint-Gobain Vetrotex will be rebuilding the fibreglass furnace in its DouDian plant (Beijing).

The new furnace will be built according to the state-of-the-art technology of Saint-Gobain Vetrotex and will increase more than threefold the glass fibre manufacturing capacities of the plant. The products will serve the Asian market and in particular China, Korea and Japan.

The unit is specialized in high quality products focused at markets involving weaving, knitting, pultrusion, filament winding and specialty direct rovings using our advanced anticorrosion/high temperature resistant glass formulation. This range of products has already earned strong market acceptance in Asia, particularly in Japan and Korea and the new installation will allow the development of new composite applications.

“We want to bring the state-of-the-art innovation and broadest product range to our customers, in order to serve the fast development of composite markets and applications in China” says Jean-Philippe Buisson, Managing Director, Saint-Gobain Vetrotex Reinforcements Asia Pacific. “At the same time, I am confident that our organization, today, is the most competent in Asia to offer top-quality product, service and innovation at best value to our customers”.
