Wabash MPI has introduced a new 40 ton Genesis Series Proppant Crush Test Press for use with high psi frac sand, resin coated sand and ceramic proppant

This press is a compliment to the existing 28 ton model.  According to Wabash MPI, the Model G40-12-PCR press offers a clamp force ranging from 2 to 40 tons within a ± 2.5% deviation. It says this proppant crush test press is compatible with ISO 13503-2:2006 with unsurpassed cycle repeatability.

The operator interface has been designed to provide an easy setup of control parameters with ample recipe storage, an Allen Bradley programmable controller, PanelView Touch screen and closed-loop control of clamp pressure.  Other features include a self-contained hydraulic system which can apply a constant rate of 13.8 MPa/min (2000 PSI min), 12” x 12” full guided hardened platens to ensure parallelism and adjustable stop on plates for centering the crush die.  The press is available with and without a 2” ID crush die.
