The event, which NetComposites will run for a third time, will be held at the International Digital Laboratory at Warwick Manufacturing Group, UK on 8th May 2014.
The aim of the conference is to look at not just the joining of fibre-reinforced polymer composites (FRPs) to materials such as metal or wood, but also FRP to FRP connections, adhesive and thermal bonding techniques, designing successful joints and integrated connections, as well as the non-destructive testing and sensory techniques used to monitor joints.
New developments in this area will be showcased as well as the identification of key advances and technology gaps that require further research investment.
Claire Whysall, Event and Network Manager at NetComposites said, “The joining technologies needed for use with FRPs has always been a ‘hot topic’ at NetComposites’ events, and comments and questions on the subject always come up no matter what the overriding conference theme is. This event has become more and more popular since we first ran it in 2010 and we’re pleased to be moving it to the largest venue yet.”
NetComposites are currently seeking speakers for this event and are accepting abstracts of around 250 for consideration. Interested parties should send this to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 14th February 2014.
