MVC have recently acquired Fibremaq’s Multicolours gelcoat applicator, a machine capable of applying up to four colours simultaneously.
The machine will be used by MVC for the production of several auto parts made of composites, such as bumpers, bonnets and roofs.
“Many components we manufacture in RTM Light rely on the gelcoat finish, and the fact that this machine allows the use of different colours at the same time was a determining factor for our choice” said Jean Zolet, MVC’s industrial coordinator. Zolet was also keen to highlight the increased accuracy provided by Fibermaq Multicolors, “The external mixing between the gelcoat and the catalyst makes the process even more precise”, he says.
José Batista de Andrade, Fibermaq’s CEO, highlights another positive aspect of the machine: the linear positioning of the gelcoat pumps, which enables individual adjustment of colours and facilitates the equipment handling.
According to Andrade, being a supplier for a company such as MVC evidences, once again, the quality of Fibermaq’s products. “MVC is a reference to the Brazilian segment of composites and is always seeking the best in terms of technology. That is why we are very pleased to have it as our customer”, says Andrade.
