Mitras Automotive, one of the main SMC and GMT converters for the automotive industry has invested in the RIM process using Telene DCPD technology.
By choosing Telene resin, Mitras Automotive is widening its technology platform towards smaller series markets such as body panels for construction and agricultural vehicles, but also trucks and niche automotive segments. Mitras Automotive confirmed its choice through the official start-up of its new 3000 sqm plant in Winsford (Cheshire, UK) dedicated to Telene & employing 30 people initially.
“Telene S.A.S and Mitras Automotive achieved an excellent technological partnership based on their respective worldwide experience and delivered in less than one year a true value proposition to OEMs.”, said Alexander Daemen, President of Telene.
“”Telene complements our SMC capability very well: where the design engineer can select between strength and toughness and between lower and higher volume series tooling. Each technology offers excellent thermal, chemical and acoustic properties,” said Peter Middleton, Managing Director of Mitras Automotive.
