MatSim and accelrys have announced a joint release for predicting properties of nanostructured materials using their respective program packages MesoDyn and Palmyra.
It is possible with this combination of powerful tools to predict the structure of a multitude of complex nanomaterials and to accurately and efficiently estimate their properties. Mechanical, thermal, electrical, magnetic, optical, and transport properties of materials of any morphology with arbitrary complexity can be obtained and stress and strain fields and other property fields can be visualized.
MatSim GmbH of Zurich specialises in the computer-aided materials design of complex materials, and accelrys is a leading supplier of molecular modeling software.
