Element Materials Technology has acquired Materials Engineering Research Laboratory (MERL).

Element says the addition of MERL and its reputation for the evaluation, analysis and testing of polymeric materials, particularly in the oil and gas, aerospace and land transport industries further confirms its resolve to provide worldwide, industry-leading service in materials technology.

According to MERL, joining Element marks another important landmark in the success of this company and its people. As part of Element, all the resources and knowledge of MERL, its test facilities and staff are still available to existing customers. In addition, Element’s network of testing laboratories and experts will also be available to customers.
