Gearing Scientific Ltd have just invested in the new heat capacity software for their range of thermal conductivity apparatus.

They can now test from 0degC to 220degC using one of the Lasercomp Fox 50 range of apparatus with samples from 2mm to 25mm thickness by 50 to 60mm diameter. Gearing Scientific say that if they can now test the specific heat capacity of materials which consist of several component parts, such as composites.

This is offered on a contract test basis along with their normal thermal conductivity testing from -10degC to 250degC and DMA testing to compare the Tg’s of otherwise similar composites.

In the UK these apparatus are also offered for sale or rental.
