Mansory have customised the McLaren MP4-12C making it more light weight, improving its agility and handling providing scope for increased performance.
Mansory explain that the body package features design elements such as an ultralight bonnet with exposed carbon-fibre sections, proprietary daytime driving lights, as well as a number of targeted measures deliver a boost in aerodynamics. They say that the roof, the front and rear apron, the mirror housing, and the wings, which widen the vehicle by 60 millimetres, and all of their components, are all made of carbon fibre and hardened in the autoclave under high pressure and temperature.
According to Mansory, the process means the acceleration values and the braking distance and fuel consumption are improved by the reduction of the vehicle’s weight. Furthermore, they say the newly designed side sill set steadies the airflow between the two axles. A wing profile, in combination with the diffuser, delivers greater contact pressure on the rear axle.
The interior features carbon-fibre elements which Mansory feels completes the overall feel in the McLaren MP4-12C.
