The Madison Group is to acquire the business operations of Bunch Engineering.

The Madison Group, founded in 1993, offers consulting services for plastic failure analysis, design and optimization as well as simulation of thermoset compression moulding using its proprietary software, Cadpress. The addition of capabilities offered by Bunch Engineering, a well-respected company in the injection-moulding industry, will further The Madison Group’s considerable simulation competence and expertise in the plastics industry.

The acquisition complements The Madison Group’s engineering and simulation services of its plastic consulting business for the composites industry with the addition of Moldflow analysis. They say that the increased capability for simulation of injection moulding will provide The Madison Group’s clients with enhanced solutions for their processing, design and product failure problems. The move also adds expanded capabilities to the Moldflow services currently offered by Bunch Engineering to its customers.

The Madison Group anticipates a closing date for the transaction during third quarter 2008.
