Lotus F1  team has adopted Anaglyph’s Laminate tools is its primary tool for chassis design.

Steve Diamond, Deputy Head of Stress Department for Lotus F1 Team said “After evaluating Anaglyph’s Laminate Tools, Lotus F1 Team have now adopted this package as their primary tool in the design of their chassis laminate and structurally critical composite components. The software has dramatically reduced laminate iteration turnaround times providing a more optimised design within the tight deadlines and allows for more detailed results interrogation with ease. Together with Anaglyph’s excellent customer support the transition to Laminate Tools has been seamless.”

Anaglyph says it has been developing composite design and analysis software tools for over 20 years and their products are used by large and small organisations in automotive, aerospace, sports and wind energy. A number of universities have also adopted them for teaching and research.

According to Anaglyph, Laminate Tools is a stand-alone Windows application that addresses the entire Geometry import-Design-Analysis-Check-Manufacture process of composites structural design. It is a tool that links the various disciplines, communicates original data between all involved in the process and saves valuable team time. Laminate tools interfaces with most CAD and FEA applications, including recently added plug-ins for Rhino 3D CAD and Femap.

As a natural extension to Laminate Tools, Anaglyph has also developed PlyMatch, a technology used in the hand-layup manufacture of composite components, for the accurate positioning of plies. The seamless data flow between Design and shop floor guarantees a fast and accurate process.
