The Brazilian subsidiary of US-based high performance coatings and structural adhesives manufacturer LORD has been certified to the environmental management standard ISO 14001: 2015.
German certification body DQS was in charge of the audits performed at the company’s plant in Jundiaí, Brazil.
“Achieving the ISO 14001 is always very demanding,” says Maria Juliana Silva, LORD’s Environment, Health and Safety Supervisor. “It became even more difficult after the latest revision, which included topics such as product life and risks and opportunities related to various types of processes.”
“In Jundiaí, we put together a group consisting of representatives from all departments,” adds Silva, recalling that obtaining the certificate took six months. “This way we managed to obtain a higher level of employee engagement and collaboration. The entire process was completed in a relatively short amount of time thanks to the work of this multidisciplinary team.”
