L&L Products will launch of its Continuous Composite Systems (CCS) technology at CAMX 2018, Dallas, Texas, US, on 16-18 October.

CCS combines engineered sealants and adhesives with a fibre reinforced composite carrier in a two-dimensional profile designed to provide strength, stiffness and rigidity to a lightweight structure. L&L’s CCS are composed of a variety of forms including CCS Co-Ex, CCS Set, CCS Hybrid, and CCS Extreme.

Key attributes of the new products are said to include:

  • weight savings: CCS has been proven to be 75% lighter than steel and 30% lighter than aluminium;
  • non-conductive and insulating with a low coefficient of thermal expansion;
  • high predictability in energy management;
  • corrosion resistant.

L&L Products will highlight the features of CCS at booth N21.

“We’re thrilled to be launching CCS at the CAMX show this year,” says Hank Richardson, Senior Product Development Engineer at L&L Products. “It’s applicable to such a wide range of industries and is extremely customisable. With L&L being traditionally focused on the automotive industry, rolling out CCS has been an exciting venture for the team.”

With its CCS products and process, L&L Products aims to deliver a cost-effective, ultra-high strength reinforcement solution that brings extensive engineering knowledge, advanced CAE modelling, and the ability for adhesive use in a variety of applications.
