LIPEX ENGINEERING Announces Nonwoven Tissue Line Order to China

LIPEX ENGINEERING has finalised contract talks with Chinese company to deliver a Nonwoven Tissue Line for basalt fibres. Delivery of the line will be during 2019 and the start-up of the line is planned for first half of 2020.

This line will produce basalt tissue mainly for Chinese niche composite market. The yearly capacity of the line is over 140 million m² and running speed up to 180 m/min. This production line features some of the new LIPEX ENGINEERING developments to increase productivity and quality.

“This delivery continues the strong focus of LIPEX ENGINEERING in the Chinese glass and basalt fibre industry” said LIPEX ENGINEERING Commercial Director Tapio Korhonen. “Since change of ownership end of 2017, LIPEX ENGINEERING has been determinedly building new business and reputation with focus on customer orientation and new developments”.

LIPEX ENGINEERING has strong interest in increasing demand for basalt fibres and is offering production technology and knowhow for this growing area. Technology for basalt fibre production will be one of the key areas which LIPEX ENGINEERING is offering in the future.

LIPEX ENGINEERING has delivered approximately half of the currently running glass fibre nonwoven tissue lines worldwide.
