Composites One has announced that Spencer J. Cox, Lieutenant Governor of Utah, will make the keynote address at Fly Away with Composites, a workshop focused on the aerospace and consumer recreation markets.

Lt. Governor Cox is scheduled to address workshop attendees on 21 August.

“We’re thrilled that Lt. Governor Cox will be speaking at our event,” says Marcy Offner, Director of Marketing Communications at Composites One. “Not only is he an avid supporter of workforce development, but he’s taken an interest in better understanding the composites industry, which is growing in Utah, thanks to developing markets like aerospace and consumer recreation.”

To be held 21-22 August just outside Salt Lake City at Davis Technical College in Clearfield, Utah, US, Fly Away with Composites is the latest in a series of educational events presented by Composites One and the Closed Mold Alliance in partnership with IACMI – The Composites Institute. In addition to Lt. Cox’s address there will be presentations and live demonstrations by industry experts on topics such as thermoplastics, prepreg – autoclave and out-of-autoclave, 3D printing, vacuum infusion, high temperature tooling, and thermoforming. There will also be a special track for students considering the composites programme at Davis Technical College.

Registration for the workshop can be made online at www.flyawaywithcomposites.eventbrite.com.
