Kemrock and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a joint venture company in India to develop, manufacture and distribute carbon fibre prepregs along for defence and aerospace programmes in India.

Kemrock and HAL together have identified opportunities for development and marketing of aerospace grade carbon fibre prepregs, which they say have immense potential in aerospace and defence programmes in India, as well as globally.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is a leading Indian aeronautical company with operations including design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of aircraft. Kemrock is engaged in the manufacture of FRP and composite products and has set up a carbon fibre manufacturing facility at Vadodara, Gujarat, having obtained technology from CSIR-NAL.
