Kadant Composites Inc. has sold the GeoDeck Composite Decking and Railing System line of products to Minneapolis-based LDI Composites, an affiliate of Liberty Diversified Industries (LDI).

Manufacturing of GeoDeck will continue at the Green Bay, Wisconsin plant in the US, with its headquarters also located in Green Bay.

Liberty Diversified Industries began in 1918 as Liberty Carton, a corrugated packaging company, and has grown into a family of companies involved in recycling solutions, material handling, office furniture and supplies and building products.

Trimline roof ventilation systems, created from corrugated plastic, is another building product line of LDI’s that, like composite decking, is an innovative alternative to its traditional counterpart.

“Composite decking is a natural extension to our line of building products and is a category with high growth potential,” says Lanny Jass, general manager, LDI Composites Co. “GeoDeck is a strong brand and a good addition to our product mix.”

“LDI is aligned with GeoDeck’s commitment to quality, integrity, strong R&D, and future growth of the product line, and we look forward to continued success,” says F. John Long, VP of sales and marketing for GeoDeck.
